Gratitude teaches me to find beauty and presence in the moment. That can be really hard for me to do. Especially when I'm exhausted or overwhelmed. So, when I'm on my walks I do my best to stop and look before I move on. Sometimes I take pictures, sometimes I don't—but I almost always step away from what I'm looking at with a deep sense of curiosity. Last week, me, my husband, and the kiddos went to Milwaukee to visit my in-laws. My walks were glorious and family time was lovely. I snapped some photos during our trip, and looking at them today made me really happy.
I am grateful for the fiery shedding of the season.
I am grateful for sandy mornings on the beach.
I am grateful for the smiles my children share.
I am grateful for seashell and beach rock hunting.
I am grateful for neighborhood strolls to and from the bakery.
The Lesson: Sometimes it's the small moments that can make the largest impact.
Community: What has gratitude taught you this week?
The best way to support my work, and show me gratitude, is by pre-ordering my new book, HOW WE HEAL, here.
