I was so grateful for one particular flower last week, opening in the dark and blooming only for one night.

Thank you for your reflection and working with what you had. I needed it, as I am in the throes of life becoming and long awaited changes AND doctors’ appointments for new issues that have arisen with this very rare disease diagnosis. It seems like for every courageous step I take forward, I am pushed back three. But I choose to believe that trouble don’t last always and to look for the micro-miracles, for God’s sustaining power and provisions, and whatever good that happens each day…no matter how small.

Lovely Alex, flowers are so inspiring, and yes agree that we all need a break, to be alone 🙏🏻

"this 1.5-mile walk showed me so much about overcoming and returning home to myself."

This took me to Ram Dass, "We are all just walking each other home." Thanks, Alex!

"Adversity may bend me but cannot break me." Wow, thank you. I've also found respite in art, taking photos and drawing or painting them later.

No one talks about how you can deeply love your life and the people in it and still need pockets of time and space to be completely alone. We can't be anything to anyone if we are nothing to ourselves."

This touched me. While everyone talks the talk, they don't understand when you really need the time alone.

Omg this is so beautiful Alex! It also reminded me of photo a day challenge I used to be obsessed about on Medium! Thank you for connecting to the photographer inside me!

Also, it feels like I'm currently undergoing a death and rebirth cycle...so the piece was perfect!

I love how you make a stroll a fine work of art. A healing ritual, a medium for others to heal as well, to become whole. ❤️
