Cooking a full meal for Sunday dinner for just the hubby and I with most of it homemade from scratch because it brings me joy to be in my kitchen cooking for the love of hearing him moan with pleasure at that first bite even after 25 years of marriage like he’s never had my cooking lol we’re navigating this empty nester/youngish grandparent world with so much uncertainty about everything while reconnecting at small moments like Sunday dinner for two=my joy

Thankful I found your Gratitude journal right when I needed it ❤️

This was so on time. I’ve been so restless on weekends…grateful that they no longer feel full of empty happenings but wondering what should happen instead. Such a good reframe. It’s peace…something to be grateful for!

Cuppa tea = joy for sure! My one true grounding hobby. Is that genmaicha you've got there? My brew these days is usually a young sheng puerh. I've got way too many. 😆🍃💚🍃

i very well remember what the addiction to drama felt like, and how releasing resentments and anger meant that I no longer had enemies to fight against in my head. it took a while to get used to the joy that came from peace. diving in to gratitude every day is the pathway there.

i love those nude beads!

What kind of journal do you use? I feel like you’ve said it but I can’t find it.

I am so happy that this article came across my path. It’s a question I didn’t realize I’ve been thinking about … but didn’t name it or explore it. Kismet!!! Appreciate the insights and the prompts. Thank you.

I love this. I tend to overfill my calendar - to the point that I feel guilty (or like something is wrong) when it's not full. I have two 'easy' workdays this week - and my goal is to embrace the peace. And maybe even take a midday walk!

I absolutely love this, definitely felt joy radiating all throughout. Funny enough I have a note titled “Hood Things are Always Happening”, this is beautiful. Bless you!
