I wish that I could articulate how deeply I needed this sentiment.
I had been blindsided by a friend whom portrayed me in a light that didn’t align with who I am & even she said she said it out of insecurities & envy.
Trying to find compassion the last week has been daunting. From listening to a grief meditation series to affirmations reminding me who I am, it’s been hard not to lean into the adjectives she used to describe me.
However, after reading this, it reminded me how wholesome compassion is & can be.
This is a powerful example of not only compassion and curiosity as healing practices, but also an ABUNDANCE mindset. When I read this, underneath it all I hear, "You can steal what I create, but you cannot duplicate or steal the SOURCE of my creations! I GOT PLENTY!" Keep shining Sis! Thank you for this.

That’s so awful! That person MUST see it’s a blatant THEFT! Your calm acceptance is admirable BUT I hope it didn’t stop a cease and desist letter for a formal head-slap to this woman. It disgusts me!
I have many issues and would often be tempted to buy a slogan tee shirt etc. I hate the thought I could potentially purchase from some1 who wasn’t the actual author.....with the rights. I ask you to consider also those like me who would HATE to be ( even inadvertently) the owner of stolen work. I am not so accepting and would feel really awful if tricked.
I will add these wisdom words to my mirror of inmortal quotes “...If I let folks whose actions are ill-intentioned distract me from my work and creativity, I will find myself stuck, misaligned, and unfulfilled....” It is so true! This is a great example of healing by example.
I’m sorry that happened. That would make me feel terrible. Your sweatshirt got to my house today and I know it sounds ridiculous, but I cried. It is beautiful and I felt so much love for you, the creator. You are a balm to this world and I am so grateful you share with us 🙏🏻
Now this is true maturity because that lady really had the audacity, nerve and gall. I know for sure that my first reaction would’ve been one of anger, but this definitely put things into perspective. I’m so sorry this happened to you Alex, but I admire how you approached it.
It is what it is... something that took me a while to get back to and be ok with after years of therapy. But now it’s like a mantra - I try not to let certain thing upset me anymore because I know I can’t change them. I can only change my reaction to them.
I’m sorry that someone copied your creation and sold it as their own. That sucks big time!
