Note to self; Just keep going. Eventually everything will work out and you will be exactly where you need to be. Put on your seatbelt and ride the waves and emotions until everything settles because it will. As always. 🤍🫶🏽

Hey girl!

Yes you.

I AM TIRED. You can say it out, it’s fine. Nobody will judge you for it. At least not here.

Burnout is allowed. Fatigue is allowed. Mixed feelings are allowed. The chaos are permissible.

You can feel tired. You can feel frustrated. You can feel flustered. You were made to feel, of the many purposes God had in mind when He told the Trinity: Let us make man in our own image in Genesis.

In all the numerous conflicting feelings and emotions, remember to breathe.

Remember who has called you by name.

Remember El-Roi, The One who sees you. Remember to rest in the love He has poured out to you.

Remember who your Father is. Your Heavenly Father.

Remember He said you’d never be alone.

Remind yourself that He said: BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD. If you sit with Him long enough, you’ll be left with just BE. Be. Be. Just be.

He is the Sovereign God. He is I Am and He loves you. He chose you. The God of the Universe loves you.

So girl, be. Just be. Rest. Lean. Incline your heart to Him.

Like a child with her father, sit with Him, close your eyes and rest. Let go of all the stress, worries, concern. Pour all your worries and stress upon Jesus and leave them there, because He always tenderly cares for you.

Choose to leave those feelings with Him. He understands. He is good. He is love. He is generous and intentionally about you ALWAYS.

Signed,

E.

note to self: it's ok.

It's ok to take a break. It's ok to do not a damn thing. It's ok to embrace stillness & moments of solitude. You don't owe an explanation for taking time to truly sit w/ & pour into yourself. Remember, there is PRODUCTIVITY in rest. ✨

Love that, productivity in rest🤗

Oof. So much of this hit me deeply. Thank you.

Note to self: you are allowed to deploy the same amount of work & willingness with which you forgive *others* — in order to forgive yourself.

All 3 of these notes were really relevant to my life currently. I find myself always rushing into the next thing. I have to remind myself to pause in between going from one thing to the next. This gives me the time to slow down and signals to my body the change in activity. Like work is over, slow down, let go, regulate your system, enjoy this moment of peace and stillness, then move onto the next thing.

Note to self; Many times when I feel unsettled stepping outside shifts my perspective. It ALWAYS grounds me especially when I have to force myself to take the first step. The birds singing, watching the silly hens, feeling the breeze and all the gifts of nature heal me.

Be still. Listen. Stay; don't bolt. Allow these growing pains to deepen your roots in the authentic love being offered. Receive it. It's time for your brain to take a break, & allow your heart & soul wisdom to take the lead.

Thank you, Alex, & all of you for these nuggets of comfort & encouragement.

To Self: Your willingness to love, despite all odds, is an immense strength. When the waves of grief feel flooding, I hope you remain rooted in the love that is always available for you even in the darkest of storms. It is love that guides you to listen to those calls from within, and heed their wisdom. There are countless beings supporting you in this journey — allow yourself to receive care, and rest. You are not alone.

Unapologetic. Be unapologetic. Be unapologetically you. Think about lying on the hospital bed in your final moments of this earth. What does it mean to have fully lived? And to fully live without constantly being conscious of what the people around you think? Will you have regrets for not embracing and celebrating all of you? Or will you close your eyes deeply satisfied that, although some left you along the way, you lived- like really lived - and you let all your facets shine, glitter and glow. Unapologetically.

Your notes to self came to me at the perfect time. I found a lot of wisdom in your words.

I feel that sometimes we just get “tired”, not sure how to go on. We need time & space to ourselves. Keep writing. Keep sharing.❤️

7 Life Lessons — from someone who has lived it…

1. Never change yourself in the pursuit of happiness. Happiness only ever comes from within.

2. Be careful who you allow into your space. Those closest to you are not always happy for your wellbeing / success. When your back is turned they are often the ones holding the knife. Embrace the lesson but do not let them dim your light.

3. The only constant in life is change. The past is gone. The present is now. A new chapter is waiting for you. Keep moving forwards.

4. Our time on this planet is limited. Make the most of every moment with the ones you love while you still can. Make that call. Send that text. Follow that dream. Travel while you are still young enough to enjoy it. There is a whole world of opportunity and adventure waiting for you out there.

5. If you feel lost, turn off the TV, put down your phone, spend some time in silence and block out the world for a while. Listen to your inner voice. Let your heart and intuition guide you. You know deep down what you really want. The answer always comes from within.

6. When life feels scary, lean into it. Sit with your feelings. Embrace the unknown. Feel the fear, then do it anyway. That’s where the growth happens. Your future self will thank you for it.

7. When life gets rough, have faith in yourself and know that it will get better. You are strong enough to handle it. We are sent here to grow. Embrace the experience. The deeper the love, the deeper the wound. If it’s not ok, it’s not the end. Remember, sunshine always follows the rain 🌧️ ☀️
