How much longer are you going to stuff and swallow your story? It will not vanish or leave you alone, no matter how long you suppress it from the true light of your life. Extend grace and gratitude to the parts that scare you. You do not have to bite your tongue or hold your breath anymore.
Exhale. Allow the entirety of your being to dance.
To whoever needs this today: Your unique vision is a beacon of light in a world that often seems dim. Now more than ever, the treasure of your vision and passion are necessary. Be deliberate in how you'll nurture what nourishes you. Embrace your truth with vigor, untethered from shame and guilt. Immerse yourself in the art of storytelling and lean into whatever your craft is with dedication and self-trust.
Your narrative has the power to mend, to resonate with a heart or a soul wandering in search of meaning. It can weave connections within communities far and wide.
Your voice, art, and vision can spark a deep and contagious joy.
Remember, our lives are often mirrors for one another. When we are mindful and intentional, we can reflect [back] the vast possibilities of freedoms some folks may not have envisioned for their life yet. Living authentically and leading with our truth makes us catalysts of change, healing, and growth.
If you’re feeling unsure or lost, I hope you remember that you won’t be going in circles forever. Slow down, pace yourself, and find your footing. This may feel easier said than done but try to embrace your unique talents and gifts, even if they seem misunderstood or unappreciated. There is profound strength in not being everyone's cup of tea. Everyone doesn’t have to get it or rally behind you. Some people will bear witness and judge, others will see you and be encouraged. Not being for everyone is a blessing. Selective resonance can be a beautiful filter that draws in those who truly connect with your essence.
There will come a time when shrinking, fading into the background, no longer feels safer than stepping into the light. Silencing your voice will become too hard to hold. Let go and speak up. Hiding from your truth and dodging who you really want to be in this life—because of fear and self-doubt—doesn't just dim your light, but it also reduces the chance of others seeing their path by the glow you emit. Your existence is a lighthouse.
Do not hesitate to show up if you're being called to. You never know whose north star you are. Walking in your purpose is an act of community care. The people who are for you will find you.
Thank you. This was exactly what I needed today.
Genuinely in awe of the timing. I have just written a blog post sharing some parts of my story and things I have learnt. I have been very hesitant to post it and this feels like a little nudge from the universe. Thank you for your kind words of wisdom.
