@Alex As I lay down, 4 days until my 55th day of birth, (Speed Limit) I make a choice to heal myself. I just ordered “I HOPE YOU HEAL” shirt to wear for a photo shoot! Even if it speaks to one person, it’s good to my soul. My work is heavy……
Today was a particularly hard day on that journey of healing dealing with my family as the eldest daughter who is trying to break certain toxic generational patterns.
These words have provided more than comfort but reminded me of what really matters… thank you for this beautiful work you’ve shared!
As a single mom and survivor of narcissistic abuse, beginning from my childhood which transferred over into my love life - more than once - this healing journey is a wild one. I continue to see my progress and the beautiful life ahead of me, but on those heavy days it can feel like trying to dig out of a hole while dirt keeps pouring in.
I just overcame one of those times and here is your post. God really is good and sends me things when I need them. I look forward to ordering one of your Matriarchy of Healing sweatshirts in the near future.
Alex, thank you again for writing a message I needed to hear right on time. “I am not failing. I’m forging a new path…Joy is not the absence of pain” but my still looking for something beautiful amid the hard, heavy, and at times unbearable.

Phew. Being the matriarch of healing is such a wild journey but I’m so glad to be surrounded by fellow matriarchs. What a beautiful way to honor us!
This is so wonderful. Brought tears in my heart.
Yes, made sacrifices for my children and in my daughter’s words, “ so she can have a softer life”
Thank you for this reminder.❤️

I'm working on it! My manufacturer discontinued most of their larger sizes. Ugh! Don't worry. I am on the hunt for other options. xo

Beautifully stated, as always. Thank you for the reminder to stop and BE, moment to moment.
