Thank you Alex! You are 💯 percent right. I am enjoying Substack. It’s full of like-minded folks. I am getting further involved with the writing community thanks to “A Writing Room.” They have a cool group on Facebook and they are pulling us into our work even before the actual retreat. This is what I need. I also need in person connection like we had in D.C. I will keep writing as I have been for 14 years, not banking on any particular outcome.
Thank you for this. And can I say, this doesn't just apply to those who create art. It applies to businesses as well. If it does not feel authentic to who you are or the brand message you are trying to convey, you don't have to be on IG, TikTok or any other platform. Written from a former project manger who started her own business this year.
Thank you for this! I truly needed to hear it. I didn’t even post my usually newsletter here because I felt like what does it matter, not many people read it. I appreciate you. ❤️🙏🏻
This touched my heart, and allowed me to release a long sighhhhh.
Thank you for reading my mind, saying what I didn’t even know how to put in words.
Thank you for allowing me into your space.
Today, I truly give myself permission to not give af about the numbers of people following me, or liking my posts. To hell with them if they see it, don’t like or comment on it.
I adore this Alex! I’ve been looking for new outlets to share my art, and thus, expand the way I am creating / sharing. I’m looking forward to this journey of knowing my worth, my self, and my art 🤍
So refreshing. I have not been on social media since February 2023. It became mentally draining for me and I create no content so I can just imagine how you feel. I am thankful that you shared this and I know you will in all ways always do what is best for you and yours. I’ve been rockin with you Alex for years and will continue to support you. Continued success, love, light, blessings to you. 💛
Whew. This. All of this. I recently decided to make my time away from socials more permanent and it is the most healthiest option for me. I’d be lying if there wasn’t a hint of fear that I won’t reach the who I need to because my lack of presence but I believe those who need my words will find them. 💛
Wow. This was such a pleasure to read. Many, many thanx. What an incredible reminder. As a creative, it's so easy to get lost in what everybody else has to say, that we forget to enjoy the gift God gave us. I hope every creative gets to see this. Bless you.
Saving this to read again and again. So true and so wise. Thank you, Alex! 🤍
Come back to it as many times as you need! Thank you for reading.
It's a message we need to hear so often!
I needed this. I should probably read it every day! Thank you 💛
Big love! You're welcome.

You're welcome. Starting a business is an art in itself, so yes, of course, it applies there too!
Damn. DAMN. I mean, so good. Potent, clear, a call for all of us to rise. LOVE THIS AND SO APPRECIATE YOUUUUUUUU
Yes!! A call! That’s so it!
